Privacy policy

This page is maintained by the Assurio app owner and explains how the Assurio web and mobile apps handle your data. Last updated 25 July 2026.

Who we are

Assurio is a property maintenance and work-order platform used by property teams, engineers and contractors. Your employer or property manager is the owner of the workspace you belong to and decides who can see your activity.

What we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, phone number (optional), workspace, and assigned role.
  • Work data — jobs you report, update or complete, comments, parts used, labour time, fire-walk checkpoint scans and inspection records.
  • Photos and evidence — images you capture or attach to a job, including any annotations you draw on them.
  • Technical data — device type, app version and error diagnostics used to keep the service working.

Assurio does not collect advertising identifiers, does not track you across other apps, and does not sell personal data.

Device permissions

  • Camera — used only when you choose to photograph a fault, completed work or a fire-walk checkpoint.
  • Photo library — used only when you attach an existing photo to a job.
  • NFC / QR scanning — used only when you scan a checkpoint tag during a fire walk.

Permissions are requested at the moment you use the feature and can be withdrawn in your device settings at any time.

How your data is used

Data is used to run the service: routing and tracking maintenance jobs, keeping an auditable safety and fire-walk register, syncing parts usage with connected inventory systems, sending in-app notifications, and producing reports for your workspace managers. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Storage and access

Data is stored in a managed cloud database and private file storage. Job photos are held in a private storage bucket and are only reachable through short-lived signed links issued to signed-in members of your workspace. Access is enforced per row and per role, so members of one workspace cannot read another workspace's records.

Sharing and integrations

We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to operate the app (cloud database, storage, authentication and email delivery), and with inventory systems your workspace chooses to connect — for example Hotel Stock Master — where parts usage from a job is sent to keep stock levels accurate.

Retention

Work orders, evidence photos and fire-walk records are retained while your workspace remains active, because they form a statutory and contractual maintenance record. Account records are removed after a deletion request is completed. Diagnostic logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your Assurio account and personal data at any time by emailing privacy@buildfix.app from your account address, or from Settings → Delete account in the app. We action requests within 30 days. Job records your workspace must keep for safety compliance may be retained with your personal identifiers removed.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or restriction of processing. Contact privacy@buildfix.app. You can also complain to your national supervisory authority (the ICO in the UK, or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland).
